Dover-Foxcroft – Betty Jean LaPointe, 79, passed away peacefully May 11, 2020, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born May 25, 1940, in Newport, WA, the daughter of Charles and Katie (Baker) Gibson. Betty was a very kind and loving woman. She enjoyed lots of activities, including her favorites of picking golf balls, picking bottles, and working on the potato harvester. She especially enjoyed outings and barbeques with family and friends. Betty was predeceased by her loving husband, Alfred Theodore LaPointe Jr.; her parents; and three sisters. She leaves behind six children, three brothers, 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Hilltop Manor for taking such good care of Betty for the eight years of her stay there.
