Obituary of Beth Lyn (Coburn) Valvo

Brownville – Beth Lyn (Coburn) Valvo, 50, died May 2, 2020, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor, after a short battle with cancer. Beth was born August 22, 1969, in Milo, the daughter of Duane and Gloria (Stewart) Coburn. Beth worked at Dexter Shoe, Rite Aid and currently at Maine Savings Bank, Milo, with the girls who she thought of as family. Beth loved her summers and winters at camp on Schoodic Lake in Brownville. Spending time with family and friends was the joy of her life. Beth was a dedicated mother to her two children and enjoyed every minute with them, especially watching them as they played sports. Christmas was a special time of year for Beth as anyone who was at her house during that time would concur. Girl’s night was one of Beth’s best times, hanging out with all her girlfriends and one innocent boy (Casey). Just being friendly to everyone she met was one of her greatest traits; she always had good things to say no matter what the circumstance. Beth was predeceased by her father, Duane Coburn. She is survived by her loving husband, David; her children, Justin and Megan; her mother, Gloria; sisters, Tina Durant and husband Eric, and Lisa Robinson and husband, Bobby, all of Brownville; a brother, Duane Chambers of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews whom she treasured dearly. She leaves close friends, John and Lynn, plus many other special friends, cousins, aunts, uncles and relatives. A private burial and funeral service will be held for the family. There will be a drive-by procession of support and remembrance at the Pine Tree Cemetery, Brownville Junction, at 10:30AM Saturday, May 9, 2020. The family requests that you please come to show your love during this time of physical distancing. Due to the safety directives in place, it is important you honor Beth and her family by not exiting your car, but know you are welcome to roll down your window to share a loving word or memory with the family. This loving act will be much appreciated by all who are left to cherish Beth’s memory. In lieu flowers, the family requests donations be made in Beth’s memory to the Children’s Miracle Network, 205 West 700, South Salt Lake City, UT 84101, or online at www.childrensmiraclenetworkhospitals.org. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
