MILO – Richard J. Nickerson, 85, husband of the late Norma M. Ames, passed away peacefully April 26, 2020, at Northern Light Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft, after a long illness. He was born September 21, 1934, in Plymouth, Massachusetts, son of Frederick L. Sr. and Marion A. (Ruprecht) Nickerson.
Richard is survived by one sister, Carol Taber; five children, Susan Shining-Star, John Nickerson and his wife, Joelle, Garry Nickerson and his wife, Vicki, Thomas Nickerson, and Crystal Casavant; six grandchildren, Elicia Grover, Travis, Dillon, and Alana Nickerson, and Olivia and Eli Casavant; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that a donation be made in his name to a charity of your choice. A graveside memorial service will be held 1PM Sunday, May 24, 2020, at Williams Cemetery, Bradford. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
