I am so very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a wonderful lady who graced our lives and I have thought of her and your family many times over the years. The beautiful painting she gifted to me many decades ago still hangs on my wall to remind me of home.

I will miss “Ant Cate and “Uncle George” They were always a part of our growing up in Derby! Always accepted whoever came to their home, watched us grow up! The old swimming hole in Milo, “Give me 3 bucks for the Impala, the Mexican Cadillac” we will go swimming.....the dried spaghetti and ketchup I enjoyed when no one else would eat it...The Boy Scout camping trip where an excited 10-year-old Petey pierced George Senior’s ear! Cathy always said of Richard and Pete in the Rideouts attic with the trains, “I didn’t mind you two up there because I always knew where you bastards were!” I will love these folks forever! Another piece of my Derb life sadly gone, but always in my heart!

I want to clarify the ear piercing came from me waving my fishing pole carelessly...the barb in the hook caught George Senior's ear lobe! I know when he saw me all the years in our adult lives he would smile..I knew what we were thinking! Good memories for Mr. and Mrs. Rideout!
