So sorry to hear of Mildred's passing. She had more energy that people half her age! She was one of the few people who could lift my Mum's (Rosalie Leighton) spirits and get her out of the house. She had such a spirit of adventure. She will be missed. She certainly loved you, Sammy.

To Sammie and the Dunphey family,
Mrs. Dunphey was an amazing person. The energy she had was incredible. We had many special visits in the town office. I always looked forward to her coming home from Mexico in the summer. She and Sammie had many stories to tell of their adventures. Sammie brought me many Mexico souvenirs that I treasure.
My deepest sympathies to her family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To Sammie and the Family of a Very Special Lady, Mildred Dunphey,
With many happy memories of Mildred and Sammie, we want to express our deepest sympathy to Sammie and her family.
We loved Mildred so much and enjoyed seeing her each summer with Sammie. What a wonderful relative she was of Ray's.
We last saw her last summer with Sam and what a nice visit we had. We always looked forward to spending some time with
them and wished we could have seen them much more. We know she thought the world of Sam and Sam's feelings for this
special lady were mutual. We exchanged email messages quite often each year. I think I last heard from her back about
Thanksgiving and Christmas time. We usually kept in touch throughout the winters and holidays each year. We will certainly
miss her and being as active as she was proved to us what an amazing lady she was! It was very interesting to talk to her at
any time and of course, the summer visits.
May God bless you all as you will miss Mil and of course we will. May He give you all His peace and comfort during the loss
of this dear lady.
Our love with prayers,
Andrea and Ray Leonard Dexter, Maine

I knew Mildred to be a very caring person and I delighted in emailing her almost daily in recent years while she was in Mexico. Her wealth of local history was invaluable, as was her knowledge of genealogy. It was young Samuel Lopez who gave Mildred so many adventures and together they enjoyed some fantastic times. Well done Mil!
