I was privileged to work with Dan during my teaching career and got to know how dedicated he was to helping students learn. We were part of the teaching team who taught a class called ITEMS (integrating technology, English, math and science) and were invited to speak as a team at various other schools. He would insist I drive his great big ocean of a car. We would have some wonderful talks about education and life and I learned much that influenced my teaching. He was a good listener, too. I am so sorry for your loss.
