Obituary of Jo A. Nesbit

Guilford – Jo A. Nesbit, 72, passed away peacefully October 7, 2019, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born April 24, 1947, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Walter G. and Callie M. (Dority) Nesbit. Jo lived in Guilford her entire life; she adored the town and was very proud of her community. She worked for over 20 years cooking at the middle school and served as a school “Grammy” at P.C.E.S.

Jo is survived by her daughter, Wendi Davis and her husband, Joel Sr.; son, Troy Nesbit and his fiancée, Jessica Waterhouse; five grandchildren, Joel Davis Jr., Jacob Nesbit, Abraham Davis, Summer Nesbit and Camden Nesbit; a special friend, Sharon McKusick; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

The family wishes to thank Hibbard Nursing Home and it’s staff for their exceptional and compassionate care for Jo.

A memorial service will be held 1PM Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the Guilford United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the family lot at Lawn Cemetery, Guilford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 72123. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
