Guilford - Galen L. Goodreau, 79, husband of the late Donna (Colby) Goodreau, passed away peacefully at his home on September 1, 2019. He was born December 14, 1939, in Sangerville, the son of John and Doris (Marston) Goodreau. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he had worked at Guilford Woolen Mill and Pride Manufacturing for many years.  He spent his life hunting, fishing, bowling, playing golf, and was an avid pool player to the end, winning many trophies and making many new friends. He was also a member of the American Poolplayers Association, where he considered the many members his extended family.

Galen is survived by a daughter, Lori F. Gates of Cambridge; three step-daughters, Crystaline A. Spaulding and her partner, Eric, of Cushing, Brenda L. Pelletier and her husband, Michael of Sangerville, and Debra J. Conant and her partner, Bruce, of Monson; three grandsons, James K. Spaulding of Auburn, WA, Wayne L. McAfee of Monson, and Brandon F. Ronfeldt and his fiancé, Kimberly A. Gato, of Westbrook; and a great-granddaughter, Echo Maxine Ronfeldt of Westbrook. He also leaves a sister-in-law, Elaine Goodreau; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many friends. He leaves his spirited cat, Molly, and his very special dog and companion, Baxter. Galen was predeceased by two brothers, Harold Goodreau and John Goodreau, Jr., and a sister, Vivian St. Louis.

In lieu of flowers donations to help the family with expenses may be sent to his estate, c/o Cristy Spaulding, PO Box 79, Thomaston, ME 04861. Burial will be in the Village Cemetery, Sangerville.
