Obituary of John Landry
Brownville – John Landry, 66, passed away unexpectedly June 16, 2019, at his home. He was born April 17, 1953, in Notre Dame, Quebec, Canada, the son of Lucien and Gaetane (Levesque) Landry. John and his family moved to Brownville Junction in 1973. John worked his entire life in the logging industry, starting alongside his father and his brothers. Following that time he went on to become self employed for many years. John had a great love for logging, the woods, and the trucks. He was a hard working man who couldn’t be slowed down.
John will be remembered for his big heart, his even bigger smile, and as funny man who could always make you laugh. He enjoyed his time with friends and family, and collecting miniature trucks. John loved spending time with his grandchildren and being their “Papa”. John’s laughter, sense of humor, and love will be missed by all.
He is survived by his brother, Francis Landry and his wife, Maria, of Brownville Junction; two sisters, Nancy Landry and Nicole Landry of Degeles, Quebec; son, Daniel Landry and his daughter, Autumn, of East Waterboro; daughter, Monique Seely and her husband, Joseph Jr., and their children, Melissa, Justin, Sydney, and Taylor, of Limerick; son, John H. Landry and his daughter, Camryn Rolfe, of Brownville; daughter, Jennifer Landry and her son, Caiden Fowles, of Brownville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brother, Bobby Landry.
A celebration of John’s life will be held 2PM Saturday, June 29, 2019, at the American Legion Hall, Brownville Junction. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
