Dave was a very good friend and mentor. He was always there to help with anything that was needed. He had an amazing wealth of information of anything historical especially the Civil War. Personally he helped me with my interest in the Civil War and fed me information to make it real to me. We worked on many projects and the annual Civil War Ball in Santa Barbara. But most of all, after my husband passed away 5 years ago, he introduced me, this year in January, to the love of my life his friend Roger Lee. Roger and I have been inseparable every since me met. Dave will be truly missed by me and all the re-enactors at Fort Tejon, CA.
