Obituary of Norman L. Barriault Sr.

Orneville – Norman L. Barriault, 88, passed away peacefully April 30, 2019, with family at his side. He was born February 19, 1931, in Jackman, the son of Horace and Eleanor (Moore) Barriault. Norman worked for many years in the woods and driving and repairing trucks and heavy equipment. He will be remembered as a hard worker, and when he built something, he built it to last.  Norman loved company and he loved to talk.

 

Three years ago, Norman lost his loving partner for over 40 years, Florence Violette. He is survived by three special step-children who lovingly looked after him for years, Samuel Violette and his wife, Carol, Rowena Carle and her husband, Tom, and Adele Murch; two sons, Gene and Michael Barriault; a daughter, Darlene Harding; 5 other stepchildren; and several extended family members..  He was predeceased by his first wife, Phyllis; his sons, Norman Barriault Jr and Donnie Barriault; and his daughter, Norma Chase.

 

A graveside committal service will be held 11:30AM Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
