Obituary of Miriam M. Emmons

Dover-Foxcroft – Miriam M. Emmons, 94, wife of the late George E. Emmons, passed away peacefully April 26, 2019, at home with family at her side. She was born September 23, 1924, in Middlebury, CT, the daughter of George W. and Lillie (Phillips) Trask.

Miriam grew up in CT and received her education in Middlebury and Waterbury schools.  She married George on November 21, 1945, and spent 70 wonderful years together. Miriam enjoyed canning and freezing garden produce, and woodworking.

Miriam leaves three sons, Douglas with whom she lived in East Dover, Gary R. and his wife, Deborah, of Bartow, FL, and Walter and his wife, Geri, of Sebec; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George; son, Pastor Ronald; great-grandson, Gavin VanBrocklin; brother, Wilbur Trask; and sister, Evelyn Kuhn.
