Obituary of Vesta E. LeBretton
Milo – Jesus took his pride and joy, Vesta E. LeBretton, 87, wife of the late Charles LeBretton, who passed away peacefully at her home on April 26, 2019. She was born September 9, 1931, in Milo, the daughter of Arthur E. and Elnora (Smith) Ellis. Vesta was a member of the J.P. Chaisson American Legion Post #41 Auxiliary for 75 years and a life member of the Park Street United Methodist Church, both in Milo. She loved music, square dancing, and above all, her family.
Vesta is survived by her son, Robert E. Merrill and his wife, Marnie; two daughters, Marcia Dahl and her husband, Ron, and Bonnie Waterhouse; two step-children; 8 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be missed by many friends and her beloved cat, Roscoe. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Roger Merrill, a step-son, Tom LeBretton, a sister, Beryl Roberts, and a brother, Martin Ellis.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted 1:00pm Monday, June 10, 2019, at the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Condolences and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
