Beverly Zwicker

Obituary of Beverly (Martin) Zwicker

Brownville Jct. - Beverly (Martin) Zwicker, 87, a loving mother and best Nana, passed away on April 11, 2019, surrounded by her family. Beverly was born on September 10, 1931, in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Fenton) Martin. She grew up in Verdun, Canada, and Greenville. In 1951 she met her husband of 61 years, Eli Zwicker, and moved to Brownville.

Beverly was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was Mom, Nana, Bebbie, NanaBear, Sophia, and Bingo Bev! Beverly was a huge Penquis Patriot fan, and loved attending all their games every season. One year she was thrilled to be named Fan of the Year! She enjoyed shopping, traveling, attending church, working at the church thrift shop and trips to the casino with Sue. Bingo was a passion, and many people helped her over the years as her mobility became difficult. Over the years she loved playing cards with the “Tripoly Girls”.

Though she had serious health issues she never complained. She was always up for anything that involved family.  She had wonderful healthcare thanks to the Eli’s UTU union membership, and the care of Northeast Cardiology, Dr. Daggett, Dr. Weiss, Dr. Richmond, & the staff at Milo Family Practice. Her final days were blessed with wonderful doctors and nurses at EMMC.

Beverly is survived by her children, Lynn and Charlie, Margaret, Liz and Danny, Eli and Patricia, Katharyn, Marilyn and John; beloved grandchildren Dan, Mike, Alex, Erin and Chris, Brian and Zully, Erica and Tristan, Trevor and Max; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Zoe, Brooke, Dylan, Emily, and special “grandson” Chris Washburn. Beverly is also survived by her siblings, Fay Inman, Marilyn Harden, and Jack Martin, along with many nieces and nephews. Beverly was predeceased by her husband, Eli, who took wonderful care of her; beloved grandson, Justin, and siblings, Alice, Marion, Gordon, Donald, Tommie; good friend, Honorene and other friends. She leaves behind many dear friends and neighbors.

Beverly was a member of the United Methodist Church in Brownville Jct. and a service with Pastor Stephen Dean will be held there on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at 10:00 am.  A reception will be held after the service at the American Legion. Beverly will be buried at the Pine Tree Cemetery with Eli “Rick” and Justin later in the spring at a family service.
