Dover-Foxcroft – Mildred F. Brooks, wife of the late Ernest E. Brooks II, passed away peacefully December 22, 2018, at Dexter Health Care. She was born February 2, 1936, in Bangor, the daughter of Andrew F. Sr. and Mazie A. (Brown) Marshall.  Millie worked for many years at Collette’s Restaurant in Dover-Foxcroft. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved her flowers and plants. Millie will be remembered as a very social lady who enjoyed spending time with her friends.

 

Millie is survived by her son, Ernest Brooks III of Charleston; two daughters, Robin Leavitt and husband, Larry of Lisbon Falls, and Paula Farris and husband, Tory of Dover-Foxcroft; brother, Ralph Marshall of Guilford; two sisters, Edna Taylor of Florida, and Jenny Chapman of Bangor; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her husband Ernest, she was predeceased by two daughters, Vanessa and Rosemarie Brooks; two sons, Hubert and John Brooks; brothers, Andrew Jr., Roy, and Frederick Marshall; and sister, Pat Brunelle, Mabel Buckley, Leona McArthur, and Doris Davis.

 

Family and friends may visit 10AM until time of funeral service at 11AM Thursday, December 27, 2018, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with Pastor Mark Stevens officiating.Spring burial will be in the family lot of Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth.
