Obituary of Keith R. Burnett

Corinth – Keith R. Burnett, 49, passed away December 8, 2018, at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. He was born December 30, 1968, in Malden, Massachusetts, the son of Eugene and Eleanor (Innis) Burnett. Keith will be remembered as an avid Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins fan. He enjoyed summer jeep rides with the friends and family, fly fishing, and hunting. Keith worked as a salesman for Maine Distributors for over 20 years. He really enjoyed his job, and his customers who became more like friends than customers.

Keith is survived by his loving wife, Michelle (Merrill) Burnett; son, Jarod Burnett and his wife, Tiffany; two brothers, Scott Burnett and his wife, Stacey, and Eugene Burnett; sister, Linda Colford and her husband, Mike; mother and father-in-law, Shirley and Arthur Merrill; in-law’s, Eric and Marcie Grant, L.T. Nickerson, Bobbie Nickerson and Cory Campbell, Kielie and Dean Gray, and Ashley and Greg Jones; several nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Cassandra and Meghan. He will be sorely missed by his best friend, who was like a brother, William “Porky” Lambert and his wife, Victoria. Keith was predeceased by his parents, and a special brother-in-law, Paul Nichols.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Justin Gainor and Sara Stevens for their compassionate care of Keith. A special thanks also goes to Lori Carver, Keith’s patient advocate, for her support and care to Keith’s family. A great appreciation from the family also goes to Keith’s employer Maine Distributors for their support.

Family and friends are invited to gather 5-8PM Friday, December 14, 2018, at the Lary Funeral Home, 62 Summer Street, Dover-Foxcroft. A celebration of Keith’s life will be held 1PM Sunday, December 30, 2018, at the Ramada Inn, 357 Odlin Road, Bangor. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Keith may be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital in support of Caring for a Cure or ALK lung cancer research.
