Obituary of Julia B. (Munster) Bendure
Levant- Julia B. Bendure, 80, passed away peacefully October 12, 2018, at her home in Levant. She was born July 28, 1938, in Rockwood, the daughter of Joseph Lewis and Marie Elizabeth (King) Munster. Julia was predeceased by her loving husband, Richard Barret Bendure. Family was very important to Julia and she always believed in visiting. She appreciated brunches with all of her family. She enjoyed playing the piano, belly dancing, mushrooms, books, plants, and milking cows with mama.
Julia was known for her inspiring strength and optimism. Through the years she would often comment, “Life is an adventure, every part of it.” She felt that was true and voiced it still, on her last days on earth. Close to her passing she said she was ready to join “Bender”, mama, papa, and all of her family in heaven. She was proud to be one of 15 siblings and being the last of all of her siblings to pass, is now rejoicing with them all, Florence, Isabelle, Celeste, Frances, Joseph, Kathleen, Dora Mae, Lewis, Martin, Stephen, Wilhelmina, Frederick, Bruce, and Clementine.
She is survived by three children, Richard Bendure and his wife, Becky, Julianna Smith and her husband, David, and Raymond Bendure and his wife, Heather; six grandchildren, Richard, David, Becca, Jordan, Madelyn, and Jessica; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call 6-8PM Monday, October 15, 2018, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Greenville, with Father Aaron Damboise celebrant.
