DOVER-FOXCROFT and NORTH YARMOUTH- Calvin W. Anderson, 91, husband of the late Janice (Clark) Anderson, passed away peacefully at Maine Medical Center in Portland on October 9, 2018. He was born June 24, 1927, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Hjalmar and Anna (Pratt) Anderson.

 

Calvin was a graduate of Foxcroft Academy, class of 1946. He went on to serve his country as a helicopter mechanic in the U. S. Army. Calvin spent most of his life working as a farmer and a business man. He also enjoyed wood working and spending time with his family on Piper Pond.

 

Calvin is survived by his daughters, Brenda Hyde and Jean Savage; son-in-law David Hyde; four grandchildren, Jessica Hyde, Amanda Wilson and husband James, Nicole Savage, and Megan Savage; and two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Lucas Wilson.

 

Visiting hours will be held 6:00-8:00PM Friday, October 19, 2018, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, where funeral services will be held 1:00PM Saturday, October 20, 2018. Graveside service will follow in the family lot at Gray Cemetery in Dover-Foxcroft. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.  Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com
