Obituary of Donald R. Grant

Dover-Foxcroft - Donald R. Grant, 91, passed away peacefully October 7, 2018, at his home surrounded by loving family. He was born January 18, 1927, in Sangerville, the son of Elwood and Della (Lent) Grant. Donald owned his own construction company, Don Grant Construction, for many years. In addition, he served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee.

Donald is survived by his son, David Grant and his wife, Linda of Dover-Foxcroft; his daughter, Judy Grant and significant other, Edward of Wiscasset; six grandchildren, Jonathan Grant of Dover-Foxcroft, Andrew Grant of Abbot, Bill Dow of Waterboro, Caryl Dow of Wiscasset, Alyson Roberts of Canaan, and Angela Dow of Waterville; two step-grandchildren, Nicole Ripley of Whitefield, and Julie Sawyer of Waldoboro; 17 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Edith; his parents; sisters, Elsie, Pearl, Dorothy, Helen, Mary Alice, Gloria, and Norma; and his brothers, Elwood, Guy, and Dana.
