Obituary of Francis R. Montag

Please share a memory of Francis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Dover-Foxcroft- Francis “Bob” Montag, 73, born December 6, 1944, in Augusta, died May 21, 2018, in the care of hospice while residing in Dover-Foxcroft. His decision to change residences and live with Jesus brought him much happiness and peace of mind, knowing he would forever be free from pain.

So, with joy, we who love him release him to his savior, including his wife, Mary, and children, Michelle, Mike, and Maia.

We give thanks for all the people who administered their skills in caring and treating Bob over these many years including the staff at Eastern Maine General, Maine General Physiatry, the therapists of Mayo Regional Hospital, the nurses of Beacon Hospice, but especially to Dr. Kristen Wagner DO of Dover-Foxcroft Family Medicine. Thank you all for your insight!

In accordance with Bob’s wishes there will be a private family memorial service. For those who wish to remember Bob’s life, please send contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
