Obituary of Hedwidge C. Boucher
Greenville- Hedwidge C. Boucher, 84, passed away peacefully May 6, 2018, at her home surrounded by family, after fighting a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born November 23, 1933, in St. Lucie, Quebec, the daughter of Emile and Alice (Lantagne) Couette. Hedwidge was a longtime communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Church. She married Marie Louis Boucher August 16, 1958, and shortly after they were married they moved to Greenville. In her earlier years, she taught school and worked as a CNA in Canada. Hedwidge was an employee for many years at C.A. Dean Memorial Hospital in Greenville. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and board games with her family. She also enjoyed crocheting and sewing and spending time at the family camp on Lac Frontiere in Canada.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Marie Louis Boucher; her five children, Jerry Boucher and his wife, Ginger, Michael Boucher and significant other, Jolene, Marlene Peat and her husband, Kenneth, Sarah Whittier and her husband, Jack, and Robert Boucher; her brother, Patrick Couette and his significant other, Martina; her three sisters, Sarah Masson and her husband, George, Lucette Couette and her significant other, Norman, and Fernande Auger; eight grandchildren, Derek and Brittany Boucher, Ashley Nelson and her husband, Eric, Tasha Duval and her husband, Jason, Mia Boucher and her significant other, David, Christa Shaw, Mallarie McNinch, and Whitney Peat; four great-grandchildren, Macie Woodbury, Haley and Maddie Ferland, and Pierson Duval; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Jean-Claude, Henry-Paul, Rock, and Fernand.
Family and friends may call 6-8PM Friday, May 11, 2018, at the Lary Funeral Home Greenville Chapel, 281 Pritham Avenue, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 10AM Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 145 Pritham Avenue, Greenville. A reception will be held at the church after the burial in Greenville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Family Catholic Church Building Fund, P.O.
