Obituary of Gail Turner Downie

Sangerville- Gail Turner Downie, 66, passed away April 4, 2018, at a local hospital.  She was born December 6, 1951, in Greenville, the daughter of C. Lee and Shirley M. (Perry) Turner.  Gail was currently employed with Puritan Medical Products, and will be remembered as a Christian with great faith. She loved her animals, especially her two dogs, two cats, and horses.  Everyone who knew Gail loved her.  Gail’s greatest joys in life were spending time with her grandson, Liam, and her relationship with her daughter and best friend, Alissa.

She is survived by her daughter, Alissa (Downie) McLaughlin and her husband, Ryan, of Bangor; her grandson, Liam McLaughlin of Bangor; two brothers, Albert Turner and his wife, Karen, and Daniel Turner, all of Shirley; her good friend, Shirley Nadeau of Parkman; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.  Gail was predeceased by her parents, and her brother, David Turner. 

A memorial service will be held 11am Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at the Abbot Evangelical Free Church, with Pastor Rogan Taylor officiating. A committal service will be held 11am Tuesday, May 29, 2018, in the family lot of the Shirley Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
