Etta was like a mother to me when I was young, and often would call me from the nursing home to check on my safety and well being. I did love her very much.
Diddy was a friend as well. I knew her when I was young and her children even younger. I enjoyed renewing our friendship when I moved back to Greenville nearly 10 yrs. ago and admired her dedication to her church and community.
I will miss them both in my life, and send my condolences to all of the family.

Aunt Etta will be greatly missed! By many, many people, family, extended family, and so many friends!
It was so nice to be able to help take care of her these past 3 years. She remembered "our" story of how she became my aunt when I was 9yrs old! (I'm now 47). Precious memories for us all.....

My goodness, Aunt Etta was such a huge part of our childhood. She was so much more than a Great Aunt - she was a surrogate Grandmother for Jerry and I. Sunday dinners at the farm are especially cherished memories. Our condolences to Aunt Linda, Aunt Patty and their families.
