 Greenville- Bae “Pete” Charles Powers, 82, passed away peacefully January 3, 2018, at the Maine Veterans' Home, Bangor. He was born June 25, 1935, in Greenville, the son of Bae Estes and Martha Ann (Roberts) Powers.  Pete served the U.S. Army before attending UMF and UMO receiving his Masters in Education. He spent 35 years teaching in public education starting at Dover-Foxcroft Middle School and then later at Milo Middle School.

 Pete is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Collins and her husband, Michael Sr.; very special cousins, Linda McBrierty, Patty Brown and her husband, Clowes, and Becky Brown and her husband, Troy; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Gerald Powers; his sister, Elinor Peat; and his aunt, Etta Hubbard.

 A memorial service will be held 11am Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at the Lary Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel, 281 Pritham Avenue, Greenville. Burial with military honors will be held in the Greenville Cemetery in the spring.
