Obituary of Hesta C. Maynard
Sebec - Hesta (Clark) Maynard, 92, passed peacefully at her home in Sebec, on December 12, 2017. She was born in Dover-Foxcroft, on December 23, 1924, the daughter of Fernald and Claire (Colbath) Clark. She was devoted to family— her parents and siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was always willing and able to help raise the next generation, and was much beloved by all she touched.
Hesta was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Henry B. Maynard, her daughter Barbara Merrill, her son Henry, her grandson Dwayne, and nine siblings. She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Maynard and her husband Stuart Kerachsky of Princeton, NJ; Hesta “Kitty” Maynard and her companion Michael Jones of Rockland; Penelope Villavicencio of Sebec; and her son, Michael Maynard and his wife Patty Geiger of Sebec. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will host a gathering to commemorate her life from 2 to 4 pm on December 30, 2017, at Lary Funeral Home, 62 Summer St, Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426.
