Obituary of Joan Catherine Weymouth

Brownville Jct. and Damariscotta – Joan Catherine Weymouth, 93, wife of the late Vaughn H. Weymouth, passed away November 26, 2017, in Damariscotta.  She was born January 25, 1924, in Wales, UK, the daughter of James and Katherine (Creasy) Bellingham. Joan had resided in Brownville Jct. for over sixty years and for the last four years had lived with her step-daughter, Janice Kilburn and her husband, Anthony, in Damariscotta.

Joan is survived by two step-daughters, Cheryl McLaughlin of Waldoboro, and Janice Kilburn and her husband, Anthony of Damariscotta; five grandchildren, Matthew Bowley and his wife, Ashley of Newmarket, NH, David Murphy and his wife, Isabelle, of Plympton, MA, John Murphy of San Diego, CA, David Russell and his wife, Denise, of Roswell, GA, and Kimberly Russell of Chanhassen, MN.  She also leaves a cousin, Diane Hodgson, of Exeter, UK. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Vaughn; and a sister, Margaret Carey and her husband, Ralph, of Milo.

Joan was much loved and will be very much missed by her family, friends, and many new friends she made in the Damariscotta area.

A funeral service will be conducted 11am Friday, December 1, 2017, at the Brownville Jct. United Methodist Church, with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating.
