Obituary of David N. Caivano
Milo – David Nicholas Caivano, 61, beloved husband of Gina M. (Mero) Caivano, passed away November 11, 2017, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. He was born August 13, 1956, in Brenton Woods, NJ, the son of Nicholas J. Sr. and Helena R. (Tyczkiewicz) Caivano.
David was in his thirty-eighth year of teaching, and was planning and hoping to make 40 years. The last 34 years were spent at Penquis Valley High School, where he was held in high regard by his students and fellow teachers. He was a loving, caring teacher, always available for his students, and willing to help anyone who needed it. He was a firm believer in learning and education.
David is survived by his loving wife, Gina; two sons, Kenneth Michael Morrill, and Erik Shawn Morrill; two daughters, Krystle Morrill and Sheri Mortillaro and her husband, Jamie; two brothers, Matt Caivano and his wife, Alice, and Nick Caivano, Jr.; a sister, Nancy Caivano; a very special aunt, Arline Tyczkiewicz; three grandchildren, Salvatore Michael Dean Morrill, Provvidenza Rose Mortillaro, and Liam Ephraim Mortillaro; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, and a special uncle, Thomas Tyczkiewicz. David will be missed by his special dog, Max.
Friends are invited to call 6-8pm Thursday, November 16, 2017, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 1pm Friday, November 17, at Sts. Francis Xavier and Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Milo. After the services a reception at Penquis Valley High School will begin at 3pm. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the David N. Caivano Scholarship Fund, c/o Camden National Bank, 53 Main Street, Milo 04463.
