Obituary of Joyce A. Taylor

Milo – Joyce A. Taylor, 84, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family, September 12, 2017. She was born April 5, 1933, in Bristol, NH, the only daughter of Maurice and Doris (Hichborn) Decker. Joyce enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing up to the family cottage at Brassua Lake, and picking berries for jam as soon as they were ripe.

Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Clair E. Taylor, and her son, Wayne A. Taylor. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, including her surviving children, Wendy L. Taylor, Terri L. Libby, and Becky J. Simonson and her husband, John R. Simonson. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Eric R. Simonson, Cody A. Libby, and Emma L. Taylor; and one great grandchild, Wyatt M. Libby.

Friends and family are welcome to gather at Joyce’s home at 150 Hovey Road, Milo, on Saturday, Sept 23, 2017, from 1-4 pm. No graveside services will be performed. In lieu of cards and flowers, donations in memory of Joyce may be made to PAWS (Penquis Animal Welfare Sanctuary), 39 Clinton St, Milo 04463.
