So sorry to hear of his passing a few years ago. He has always been one of the teachers I remember and admire. He has been part of my imaginary brain trust for decades now.

John, I will always remember our friendly conversations when we served on the ME Conference UCC Coordinating Council. Your words of wisdom delivered with dry humor and incredible insight made us all listen when you had the floor. You and your blessed wife Barbara were ones we looked up to and cherished your friendship and indeed your mentoring. Rest in Peace my friend, you have earned it!

Jeff and family, so sorry for your loss. I really enjoyed your Father at the Academy and when I would visit at your home. He was always a step or two ahead of me.

To John's(and Barbara's) Family.
I served with your loved ones for several years through the Maine Conference UCC Small Church "Mission" Team. Barbara was the member but often John drove her and we would talk over lunch. We stayed in touch beyond that service together at Maine Conference events like Annual Meeting which is on one very real way a big "UCC family" gathering.
They were both absolutely wonderful in their faith, their service, and their love for the people they worked with in so many different ways. They were such a blessing to me and everyone they volunteered with.
I'm sorry for your loss and the feelings that go with this. May God's peace surround you and fill you, and bathe you in their love.

I remember our early years at FA. Barbara and John were such an integral part of the Foxcroft Academy family and so nice to the "young pup" at the helm and his family. I look back on those years and remember so many good, intelligent, caring folks that made such a positive difference to the schools and community. I wish all your family peace and comfort in dealing with his passing. "John - good and faithful servant."

My sympathy to all of the Glover Family -- "Mr. Glover" helped instill in me a great love for American History, which has continued to nourish and bless my life. His casual classroom was uplifting, and he challenged us to use our minds as we learned from the past. God bless.

Carol, Jan, Jeff, Gail and John, my deepest condolences to all of you for the passing of your Dad. I have a wealth of such wonderful memories of time spent with your family in our younger days. Your Dad had a great sense of humor and was certainly a legend at FA. I like to think that he and your Mom are "up there" settling in for a game of bridge with my parents.

Oh Johnny, Gail, Jeff and all the Glover's... l'm so sorry for your loss!
Mr.Glover was a true inspiration and one of the most intellectual and yet funniest person I've ever known. We (the Castillo's) grew up with y'all as our wonderful neighbors and will never forget that era in our lives! I came back to Dover-Foxcroft (FA) for my senior year ('79) and really got to know Mr. Glover he will be missed!

To Carol and the whole Glover family, I was so sorry to learn of John's passing. I got to know him quite well during my adult years long after I graduated from FA. He was a very sharp man, with a quick wit, and I always enjoyed conversing with him. May many years of wonderful memories help to get you through these difficult days.
