Dover-Foxcroft- Brenda Lynn Edgerly, 59, passed away suddenly surrounded by her family April 17, 2017, at a Biddeford hospital after a long battle with cancer and COPD. She was born in Dover-Foxcroft, July 14, 1957, daughter of the late Luther and Marian (Burgoyne) Bussell. Brenda was educated in Dover-Foxcroft schools, graduating from Foxcroft Academy, Class of 1977. Growing up she could be seen twirling the baton or playing the saxophone with the marching band in local parades. A cherished memory of Brenda’s was the band trip to Romania. She was employed at Hathaway Shirt Co. for 5 years and then McDonald’s for more than 20 years. Camping, traveling, cooking, crafts, and time spent with her family and friends were the joys in her life. Brenda is survived by her high school sweetheart of 46 years, Herbert E. Edgerly, Jr.; her two sons, Herbert L. Edgerly and his fiancée, Denise Martinson, and William C. Edgerly and his fiancée, Nickie Tyler; her granddaughter, Lilly Martinson; her three siblings, Tonia Conner, Kim Bussell and his wife, Billie, and Scott Bussell and his wife, Sherry; and her nieces and nephews, Daniel, Bradley, Brian, Barbara, Stewart, Shannon, and their families. She will be remembered by a special life-long friend, Vi Ashford. Brenda and Vi always referred to each other as sisters. She was predeceased by her nephew, Luther. A graveside memorial service will be held 11am Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the Dover Cemetery on the Vaughn Road, Dover-Foxcroft. Following interment, a celebration of Brenda’s life will be held 1-4pm at the Dover-Foxcroft Fairgrounds Dining Hall on Fairview Avenue, Dover-Foxcroft.
