Dover-Foxcroft- Edith M. Grant, 91, passed away peacefully April 5, 2017, at her home. She was born November 21, 1925, in Sangerville, the daughter of Arthur and Ervena (Blake) Ellingwood. Edith worked at Hathaway Shirt Company for many years. She was a member of the Pine Needle Christmas Club. Edith is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Donald Grant of Dover-Foxcroft; her daughter Judy Grant and her significant other, Edward, of Wiscasset; her son David Grant and his wife, Linda, of Dover-Foxcroft; six grandchildren, Jonathan Grant of Dover-Foxcroft, Andrew Grant of Abbot, Bill Dow of Waterboro, Caryl Clauson of Wiscasset, Allyson Markham of Smithfield, and Angela Dow of Auburn; two step-grandchildren, Nicole Ripley of Whitefield, and Julie Abbott of Wiscasset; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and sisters, Minnie, Hazel, and Ruth. The family wishes to thank Joanne Reiniger, Amedisys, and Beacon Hospice for their compassionate care of Edith. A gathering of family and friends will be held 1-3PM Saturday, April 15, 2017, at 33 Thayer Parkway. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
