Obituary of Lucy B. Fay
Greenville- Lucy B. Francese Fay, 89, passed away peacefully, on January 18, 2017. Lucy was born March 14, 1927 in Long Branch, NJ, one of five siblings. She is the daughter of Costentino and Bruna Ricciadi Frencese. Lucy touched so many lives in so many ways, both young and old and volunteered countless hours here in our Greenville community; whether it was teaching Catechism for years at Holy Family, reading to children at Nickerson Elementary School, or spending time with various Ladies Auxiliaries. She enjoyed many lunches out with all her special lady friends too numerous to mention and always greeted you with a hug and smile. Lucy never had a drivers license but could regularly be seen walking up Pritham Avenue on her way to visit with residents at CA Dean Nursing Home. Lucy was an amazing woman and a dear friend to many. She lived a faith-filled life full of grace, mercy and most of all, love and adored the Holy Family Catholic Church and its parishioners.
She is survived by her sister, and best friend, Mary Vincelli and brother Benjamin Francese. She was predeceased recently by her loving husband of 63 years, Willard "Bill" Fay, and their son Clemon W. Fay, whom she adored.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, at Holy Family Church, Greenville by the Rev. Aaron Damboise. Donations in Lucy's memory may be made to the Holy Family Building Fund, Fay Family Classroom, P.O. Box 457, Greenville, ME. 04441.
