Obituary of Kenneth G. Cates
Dover-Foxcroft – Kenneth G. Cates, 56, passed away January 6, 2017, at Eastside Rehab & Living Center in Bangor. He was born December 14, 1960, in Skowhegan, the son of William M. and Alice L. (Bemis) Cates. Ken had been employed by Save-A-Lot as an assistant manager for the past thirteen years. He enjoyed NASCAR, woodworking, making model cars, trucks, and airplanes, and was an avid fisherman.
Kenneth is survived by a brother, Louis Cates; two sisters, Juanita Swazey and Brenda Seliano; four nieces, Emily Boucher, Allison Cates, April Souther, and Carol Miles; and his step-mother, Nancy Cates. He will be remembered by a special friend, Alicia Ferris, and many other dear friends. Kenneth’s family wishes to extend their gratitude for the compassionate care he received at Eastside Rehab & Living Center and from CHCS Hospice.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2-5pm Sunday, January 29, 2017, at the American Legion Post 29, Dover-Foxcroft. Arrangements are in the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. Condolences may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
