Dover-Foxcroft - Alfreda L. Preble, 73, passed peacefully December 29, 2016, at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Milo, Maine on May 22, 1943, the daughter of Mildred (Clement) and Charles Goodine. Alfreda married Stanley Preble of Sebec, and together they raised three children: Steve, Tracie and Melissa. She was a dedicated mother, as well as a grandmother of two very special grandchildren, Camron and Taylor Jordan, who were the love of her life. She always put family and friends first, and wants to remember a special friend, Terry Ogden. After raising her family, Alfreda worked at Mayo Regional Hospital for many years until she retired. Alfreda was predeceased by her husband, Stanley, her parents, and her sister, Juanita Emery. She is survived by her three children, Steve of Dover-Foxcroft, Tracie and her husband, Jeff Jordan, of Clinton, Melissa and her husband, Travis Biggar, of Florida; her grandchildren, Camron and Taylor of Clinton; her brothers, Owen, Greg, Timothy, and Norman Goodine; and her sisters, Cynthia Goodine, Gloria Green, and Helena Green. Friends are invited to call 1pm until time of memorial service at 3pm, Saturday, January 7, 2017, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with Deacon David Denbow officiating.
