To Jane's family, I offer my sincere condolences. Jane was a wonderful woman and a caring nurse. She was in the delivery room with me when I was in labor with my daughter back in December 1971. Her shift ended about 10 minutes before my daughter was born, and another nurse, Jane Sweetser, was with me when I finally gave birth. I felt lucky to have two caring "Nurse Janes" to get me through my labor. I got to know Mrs. Macomber better in her later years outside of the hospital. I enjoyed talking with her over the years whenever I ran into her. She will be missed. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
