Obituary of Roger D. Hartin
Milo - Roger D. Hartin, 63, passed away unexpectedly at his home December 14, 2024.
He was born October 19, 1961, in Millinocket, to Carroll and Pauline (Bishop) Hartin.
Roger graduated from Penquis Valley High School, Class of1980, and shortly thereafter joined the U.S. Coast Guard. He then served in the U.S. Army from 1983 to 1986. He did a tour in Germany during that time.
When he returned to Maine he was employed at the Guilford Woolen Mill for 30 years.
He loved the Boston Bruins, Celtics and Red Sox and enjoyed going to concerts with his family. In 2016, he overcame adversity when he had to have both his legs amputated due to Diabetes.
Roger was predeceased by his parents. He will be deeply missed by his siblings and their spouses, Forrest and Karen Hartin, Donna and Jeff Smart, Susan and Clarence Robinson, Jim and Loretta Hartin, and Tom and Marcy Hartin. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
