Monson – Beverly Lizettie Roberts, 93, passed away November 24, 2024, at Northern Light CA Dean Hospital, Greenville. She was born October 10, 1931, in Brownville, the daughter of Edward John and Bessie Amber (Bennett) Brown. Beverly worked many years as the Monson School cook and loved all the students. She was a great cook and will be remembered for her talented knitting and quilting. Beverly enjoyed taking pictures and traveling, especially trips to Newfoundland. Beverly is survived by her four children, Kevin Roberts of Elliotsville, Kirby Roberts and his wife, Nancy, Sangerville, Tina Roberts of Willimantic, and Kerne Roberts and his wife, Dot, of Elliotsville; her “other son”, Mark Roy of Charleston; brother, Dale Brown of Kittery; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Roberts; parents, Edward and Bessie Brown; brothers, Charles, Bruce, and Wayne Brown; and sisters, Helen McCorrison and Flora Anderson. A memorial service will be held 11AM Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with Pastor Steve Nute officiating. Burial will be in the Elliotsville Cemetery.
