Monson – Rachael Alberta LaPointe, 91, passed away November 24, 2024, at Northern Light CA Dean Hospital, Greenville. She was born June 29, 1933, in Monson, the daughter of Cleon A. and Mary Alice (Farrar) Jones. Rachael spent her working years at Brown’s Nursing Home and Moosehead Manufacturing. Rachael is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Farrar and her husband, George of Morrill; three sons, Jere LaPointe and his wife, Diana Krauss of Brunswick, Michael LaPointe and his wife, Arnette of Sidney, and Timothy LaPointe of Monson; four grandchildren, Emily, Brandi, Megan, and Deidra; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Ansel; daughter-in-law, Lori; and grandson, Keith. The family wishes to thank the staff in the Allen Wing at Northern Light CA Dean Hospital for their outstanding and compassionate care of their mom. A private graveside committal will be held in the summer of 2025 at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Donations in her memory can be made to the Monson Historical Society.
