"Dadja" Walter, great-uncle to our four children, great-great uncle to our seven granddaughters will be missed. He was a good and caring son to Paulina and George Maximenko and brother to the late Alla Morton, and Lida Brookes. His service to the U.S. Coast Guard showed his love of country being the only child born to Paulina and George in the US. He loved camping with Charlene whenever they had a free moment. They enjoyed the outdoors, the freedom and majesty it offered. He fondly spoke of his years in Williams, California and regularly stayed in touch with his friends there. Walter was an accomplished machinist at the Watertown Arsenal where he worked for many years. Unfortunately, he suffered for many years from ill health mainly due to COPD and its complications. Yet, despite the hardship, he never gave up or faltered.
Memory Eternal, Walter! May God receive you into his arms with kindness and boundless love.
We love you, Lida and Bob
