Houlton and Abbot – Barbara Helen Warren, 75, passed away October 29, 2024, at home in Houlton. She was born June 8, 1949, in Portland, the daughter of Robert N. and Shirley A. (Griffin) Warren. Barbara was a survivor of Pineland, and lived at the Abbot group home for years where the staff loved and adored her. Anyone that had the pleasure of knowing Barbara knew what a gentle kind loving soul she was; she will always be the “princess”. Barbara’s last residence was at the Harmony house in Houlton Maine. The family and friends extend a special thanks to the Harmony house for the care and kindness to Barbara in her final days. A special thanks also to Jessica Sprague and Diana McEachern for all the love and overseeing of Barbara through the years. Barbara was predeceased by her sister, Linda Arsenault of Michigan; sister, Mary Warren of Manchester, NH; and her parents. She is survived by her brother, Robert Warren. A graveside memorial service will be held 11AM Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the family lot of the Forest City Cemetery, South Portland. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
