Guilford – Carl E. Burke, 83, peacefully joined Gail October 7, 2024, at his home. He was born July 12, 1941, in Abbot, the son of Adolph and Celia (Wentworth) Burke. Carl was predeceased by the love of his life of 43 years, Gail (Costigan) Burke; brother, Ronald Burke; daughter, Cindy; granddaughter, Bridget; step-daughter, Laurie; and a beloved cat, Cuddles. He is survived by his sister, Rita Hardin; his daughters, Sandra Preston and her husband, Dan, and Christine Smith and her husband, Jason; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. At Carl’s request, there will be no services. Burial will be in the Lawn Cemetery, Guilford.
