Milo – Leon J. Brown, 74, passed away peacefully October 2, 2024, at his home. He was born May 15, 1950, in Milo, the son of Ivan D.L. and Vivian (Skoog) Brown. Leon worked as a Letter Carrier for the USPS for many years. He was a firefighter for over 50 years. Leon proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the local American Legion. Leon is survived by his wife, Terry (Sprandel) Brown of Milo; a special brother, Donald Brown of Bar Harbor; brother, Paul Brown and his wife, Denise, of Albany, New York; and sister, Sylvia Cunningham and her husband, John, of Bar Harbor. He was predeceased by his parents, and his sister, Ellen Freeman. A graveside service with military honors will be held 2PM Saturday, October 12, 2024, in the family lot of the Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
