He was a talented woodworker, beloved soccer coach, a comic book store co owner, with a love of games, movies and music which he enjoyed sharing with his family and friends. Frank touched many in the community through his volunteering with his wife Jennifer and family through her work helping children and families. He was a devoted son who shared a close relationship with his mother Marge. He was born in The Village of Goshen, New York, to Rudy and Marjorie Cook on December 16, 1972. His father preceded him in death when Frank was a young boy and he and his mother moved frequently throughout his childhood due to her work with the VA. He was raised in New York, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri, before settling in Topeka, Kansas prior to beginning high school. In high school Frank played varsity soccer, played the viola in the orchestra and began working at the theater, where he explored his passion for movies and developed lifelong friendships. He graduated from Topeka West High School in 1990 and attended Texas A&M and later both Washburn University and Washburn Tech where he completed a cabinet making program. Frank met the love of his life Jennifer in 2010. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married October 20, 2012, in a backyard ceremony at their home in Topeka, Kansas. Through his marriage Frank became blessed with the addition of his step daughter Aurora. And the 3 of them spent the first years together enjoying life and traveling. In early 2015, they welcomed 4 incredible children into their family through adoption, Nancy, Maria, Max and Mario. Some of their favorite memories as a family involved board games, movies, music, traveling and pets. In 2020 the family decided to try a new adventure and relocated to Brownville, Maine where they had a hobby farm for several years. Frank and the family greatly enjoyed the new adventure raising horses, goats, sheep and birds as well as developing ties with their new community in Maine. In the last years of his life Frank had a number of health challenges. He was a kidney warrior, cancer survivor and amputee. Frank was so grateful for the many kind and knowledgeable medical providers over the years.
