Obituary of Paul L. Chase

Brewer- Paul L. Chase, 78, passed away December 19, 2016, with his loving wife by his side after a courageous battle with COPD and emphysema. He was born December 22, 1937, in Milo, the son of Curtis and Helen (Ward) Chase. Paul served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Piscataquis Mason Lodge #44. He attended school in Milo and throughout his life worked a variety of jobs in Milo. He loved spending time with family members and enjoyed being able to get together in the summer with Peter, Jenny, and his grandsons. Paul was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching many sports programs. Paul is survived by his wife Shirley of Brewer; his son, Peter and his wife, Jenny, of New Jersey, and their sons, Nikolas and Bryson; his sisters, Phyllis Ireland of Veazie, and Alice Hatch and her husband, Dennis, of Milo; his brother, Gordon Chase and his wife, Tina, of Milo; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Jerry Salley and his wife, Pat, of Brownville, and Roger Salley and his wife, Judy, of Connecticut; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his former wife, Francesca Coburn. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother-in-law, David Ireland. A graveside funeral service will be in the family lot in the Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shirley M. Chase, 20 Martin Drive, Brewer, ME 04412, to help with expenses. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
