Sangerville – Carolyn A. Lemieux, 80, passed away September 3, 2024, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. She was born March 30, 1944, in Wellington, the daughter of Maynard and Gertrude (Sinclair) Curtis. Carolyn enjoyed quilting, gardening, bird watching, mowing the lawn, wreath making, and socializing with family, friends, and neighbors. She was a wonderful cook and loved spending time with children and grandchildren. She looked forward to and enjoyed spending time with her “classmate ladies,“ and loved going to exercise class. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Roy “Butch” Lemieux; son, Kevin Lemieux and wife, Melissa; two daughters, Karon Morgan and husband, Dan, and Kimberly Nickerson; eight grandchildren, Jessica Kimball, Connor Nickerson, Caleb Nickerson, Ryan Morgan, Tyler Morgan, Veronica Clark and husband, Hunter, Jake Clark, and Kevin “Junior” Lemieux; a special son-in-law, LT Nickerson; and several nieces and nephews. She had many great-grandchildren, Baylee, Ryder, Sharianna, Jason, Harper, Haisley (AKA Cupcake), Lacey, Gaven, Lexi, and Josephine. She will be missed by a special sister-in-law, Linda Lagenberg, and many special neighbors, the Morse’s, Cleaves’, Haley’s and Doore’s. She was predeceased by her parents, and siblings, Verdi, Meredith, Gordon, Gary, Larry, and Kenny. A memorial service will be held 10AM Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the East Sangerville Union Church in Sangerville, with Pastor Alice Mello officiating. After the service, burial will be in the family lot in the Knowlton’s Mills Cemetery in Sangerville. After the committal family and friends can gather at the Lemieux family home at 264 East Sangerville Road for remembrances and refreshments.
