Obituary of Phyllis Evangeline Rebecca O. Johnson

Cambridge- Phyllis Evangeline Rebecca Olsen Johnson died August 10, 2024 at the age of 95. Evangeline was born October 26, 1928 and grew up in Dexter, Maine. She attended N. H. Fay High School and graduated as one of the top scholars in her class. She worked as a maid for both Senator Brewster (at the place now known as The Brewster's Inn) and the Plouff family. She met and married Floyd Johnson and together they had six children. After a deep study of the Bible, Evangeline was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1975. She loved to tell others about God's promise of a better future here on earth. (Psalms 37:10,11,29) Evangeline leaves behind 5 children; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd; her daughter, Andrea; and her grandson, Thomas. Evangeline was a generous, kind and loving person who loved to make people laugh and was always ready to forgive others when necessary. She taught by her example the kind of person we all should be and will be greatly missed by many. To those of you that knew her, we know you mourn with us. To those of you who never knew her, we mourn for you. Because you missed out on knowing one very special person who will forever be in our hearts. Any that want to attend her memorial service can reach out to the family or friends for the date and time. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
