Obituary of Richard B. Lowell
Brownville - Richard B. Lowell, 81, passed peacefully on August 5, 2024, at Eastern Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center after a period of failing health. He was born September 16, 1942, the son of Harold and Ruth (Moulton) Lowell. Dick was born and raised on Southside Road in York Maine. After graduation from York High School, Class of 1962, Dick served in the U.S. Air Force in Glasgow, Montana, where he met the love of his life, Nancy Larson. They married in 1964 and recently celebrated 60 years together. After retiring from Collins and Aikman, he and Nancy moved to Milo, Maine where he began his second career, fishing at his beloved Schoodic Lake.
Along with his parents, Dick was predeceased by his sister, Glenda (Lowell) Randolph, and sons, Stacey and Harold Lowell. Dick is survived by his wife, Nancy; son, Justin Lowell of Shapleigh, Maine; granddaughters, Eliza and Isabelle Lowell; nephew, Jack Randolph and family; as well as several cousins.
A graveside funeral with military honors will be held 10AM Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, with Pastor David Mumford officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
