Obituary of Judy Osborne Grant
Sangerville- Judy O. Grant, 72, passed away peacefully December 17, 2016, at Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft from Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. She was born January 14, 1944, in Waterville, the daughter of Robert and Lucille (Ross) Osborne. Family was most important to Judy; she always put her husband, children and grandchildren first. She worked as a sales manager at Pride Manufacturing for 35 years, and while in this role, she was a member of the Wood Turners Association, serving as President for several years. She served as a selectwoman for the Town of Sangerville for 10 years. She was also very active in her community, serving as a member of the planning board for Sangerville, a school board member for M.S.A.D. 4, a local Girl Scout leader, and the Sangerville Fire Department and the Sangerville American Legion’s Ladies’ Auxiliaries. She always remained faithful to her church; she was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Dover-Foxcroft, and previously Holy Family Catholic Church, Sangerville.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Edward L. Grant of Sangerville; son, Dr. Robert Grant and his wife, Holly, of Olivebridge, NY, and their children, Hannah, Makenzie, Peyton, and Gabriella; two daughters, Karen Poirier and her husband, Gregory, of Rockland, MA, and their children, Kyle and Matthew, and Lisa Godbout and her husband, Scott, of Whitman, MA, and their children, Lindsey, Lauren, and Tyler; brother, Robert Osborne of Lewiston; two sisters, Jill Burgess and her husband, James, of Lisbon, and Deborah Elderkin and her husband, Galen, of Sangerville; and several caring sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial with be conducted 10am Saturday, January 7, 2017, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Dover-Foxcroft, with Father Emile Dube officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot in Jackman Corner Cemetery, Sangerville.
