Dover-Foxcroft – Freda Madeline Chambers, 85, wife of the late Orman Hale Chambers, passed away peacefully July 17, 2024, at her home with family by her side. She was born February 21, 1939, in Pittsfield, the daughter of Lawrence and Alvina (McDonald) Godsoe.
Freda is survived by her five sons, Geoffrey and his wife, Vicki, Garry and his wife, Hattie, Stephen and his wife, Carol, James and his wife, Lori, and Ronald; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Chambers and Brenda Plummer and her husband, Jack; 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren; and her extended family.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Beth Weatherbee for her compassionate care and comfort to Freda.
A graveside funeral service will be held 1PM Monday, July 22, 2024, at the family lot in the Sebec Corner Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hospice, please make checks payable to the Amedisys Foundation and mail to Beacon Hospice, 1026 Stillwater Avenue, Bangor, ME 04401, or to the Congregational Church Lending Closet, 824 W.
