Stanley Edward Lyford Obituary

Brownville – Stanley Edward Lyford, 81, passed away June 17, 2024, at his home. He was born May 29, 1943, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Merle A. and Jennie (Bradshaw) Lyford. Stanley’s happiest days were spent playing horseshoes and arguing with his wife. He lived his life his way-always. Now he lives with the Angels- Amen.


Stanley is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nadine (Brown) Lyford; children, Bonnie Ricker, Stephen (Ann Marie) Lyford, Keith (Teresa) Lyford, Loretta (Jimmy) Hartin, and Jeffrey (Tammy) Lyford; brother, Ron (Lottie) Lyford; two sisters, Joyce Carlson and Peg (Bob) Valvo; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Austin, Donald, Wayne, John, and Dave Lyford; sisters, Beatrice Knowles and Roberta Thurlen; and son-in-law, Francis Ricker.


A celebration of Stanley’s life will be held 1PM Friday, June 20, 2024, at Loretta’s home, 103 Church Street, Brownville. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
